Chapter 1
I suddenly sat up, my heart racing. Was all that happened last night real? My head hurt and I felt weird as if I was in a swimming pool or something. I looked around and saw intricate designs on coral polyps and kelp here and there. There were a few more beds just like the one I was lying on....they could be folded into the walls. I looked down and saw that there was no floor. I was just about to scream when a mermaid... fish which the upper body of a woman... came up to me with a wide smile on her face.
"Good. You're awake. You are at the palace infirmary, my dear. Now there is no reason to look so shocked." She said, patting my arm gently.
" you're a mermaid? But how are you able to stay above water?" I asked.
"I'm not above water. You are below it. You are in the palace of Poseidon, the sea god." She looked at me as if I should be knowing all this.
" THE SEA GOD?? you mean one of the twelve Olympians? But they don't exist...."
" don't be silly!" She said "of course they exist. Can you move around ?"
"No. But why am I here?" I almost dropped onto the floor...uf there was one.
" firstly, you jumped into the sea last night. Secondly, the water saved you... you are his daughter aren't you?"
" WHAT?? ME?? i mean, of course not...I'm not Poseidon's daughter......I can't be... but.." I stammered. I couldn't be half Greek god. That made no sense.
"But it does." She said as if reading my thoughts. "If you still don't believe it, think about what happened last night. You..."
I didn't let her complete " i didnt mean to...it was an accident..I.."
With that i dropped onto the bed,exhausted.
"Sleep a little more....you'll become alright. Then we'll talk, ok?" She said and left me.
I lay on my bed perplexed. Why didn't I think of this before? All those monsters...so all those myths are true....slowly I nodded off to sleep.
Chapter 2
I always used to see weird things in my dreams...and they usually came true. But this time I didn't know what was happening and why I was seeing these things.
'All Hail Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon.' A centaur and many kids my age were kneeling in front of a boy with dark black hair with a swirling blue-green trident floating over his head. Slowly I saw it fade.
"Luke. He is the thief." Said the same boy I had seen before with dark hair and sea green eyes just like mine.
I saw another person...a god maybe "you have sealed your fate." He growled with anger "every time you raise your blade in battle, every time you hope for success you will feel my curse, Perseus Jackson."
I averted my eyes as he glowed ans vanished. The scene changed and I saw a half goat - half human guy....what do you call them? A satyr. He was wearing a bridal gown?? And behind him in a tree was the GOLDEN FLEECE??? I thought that was a myth. The ground shook and a Cyclops came in. He was carrying a girl.... the scene changed once more and they were at a place called camp half blood. That girl played down the fleece on a tree......'
The image rippled and I saw a school. Three children...that guy with black hair, the blonde girl and another girl with short black hair and a punk look met a few teacher and the satyr. A monster attacked and the blonde girl fell off a cliff hanging on the monster's back. A few days later (mostly)...the black haired boy, Percy was holding the weight of the sky and suddenly he rolled and another guy came and took his place. One of the maidens of the goddess Artemis died and....'
I woke up and this time saw a guy and a girl. Merman and a mermaid. I sat up and the girl asked me "so it's you. You are Poseidon's daughter?"
I wanted to say 'NoI am not' but it came out as , "yes its me." I seemed so sure. When I first saw Percy...I felt as though he was related to my past in some way.
" I'm Sophia Rivers...." I said smiling at the two standing in front of me.
"I'm Riatta..." the girl said "and this.."
"I'm Triton, son of Poseidon and Amphritite."
