Flying High With Dumbledore

Welcome to The Quibbler! As a bored college student with way too much free reading time, I have read a LOT of Harry Potter, as we all have. But I am also a future teacher, which means the crazy creativity flows freely and I have come up with some pretty bizarre theories along the way. Each week, I hope to share a new theory with all of you for some fun and interesting fan interaction. As the name of this article implies, some of these theories are slightly outlandish, but fun to read and maybe even slightly truthful. This week's theory: Dumbledore is the Flying Ford Anglia!
Yes, this theory seems slightly outlandish, but believe me, I stand by it! At first, I was convinced that Dumbledore was Harry's Invisibility Cloak, but that theory has since been proven wrong. I thought about the bigger role that Dumbledore might play in the septology. We all realize that he is a major character, of course, but if you dig a little deeper into the books, it is impossible to think that he is merely Headmaster of Hogwarts.
We know from the reading the books that Dumbledore taught Transfiguration before replacing Armando Dippet as Headmaster. As Transfiguration teacher, he has to be very skilled in the art and must be at least animagus. Maybe I am not looking hard enough, but Dumbledore has to transfigure into something that we regularly see. This could be why he trusts so many people: because he can kind of sneak up on them. But what does he transfigure into? Some sort of animal? Maybe, but I do not see enough evidence that he turns into something …maybe the squid thing that lives in the lake? No, it almost has to be an object. Dumbledore is repeatedly referred to as an extremely powerful wizard, which means that he has to be something extraordinary. This is where the Anglia comes in.
Where on Earth did Arthur Weasley get enough money to buy a car? Maybe he just found it? Or maybe he was meant to find it. Things obviously happen for a reason in HP world and JK Rowling makes it that way. In Chamber of Secrets, following the arrival of Harry at the Burrow after flying with the twins and Ron all night in the car, emphasis is put on the fact that "nothing gets past" Dumbledore. So how does Dumbledore know so much about the Weasleys? Of course, they are a very powerful wizarding family, but he seems so interested in them.
Also, when Ron and Harry go to visit Hagrid in Chamber of Secrets, right before Fudge shows up to take Hagrid to Azkaban, Dumbledore gives the impression that he knows the boys are there, even though they are hidden underneath the Invisibility Cloak. Then the car miraculously shows up and rescues them from Aragog. Coincidence? I think not.
Alright, that is about all the evidence I have. It is a bit unusual and probably is nothing close to the truth, but it is fun to speculate, as we all know. That is what HP fans do! Hopefully The Quibbler will be something fun for us all to share and discuss different zany theories that we have all come up with!

Dreams Come True (Written by Claws)

I wrote this short story, hope you like it...

~Claws!

Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom-- wait what did you just say??? That place is NOT a kingdom! The story should start like this-

Once upon a time in a small, shabby and dirty town which was known for bringing misfortune to the citizens of the place unlike its name, “Luck Land”, lived a young hearted and friendly girl named Miray Blue. Miray was a girl with many talents. She was a beautiful girl with even more beautiful hair. Miray lived with her father who was a salesman in a small house with only two rooms. Unfortunately, Mrs. Blue (Miray’s mom) had died when Miray was only a year old.

Now Miray was 12 and had miserable times trying to remember the face of her kind mother, who she loved more than anyone despite of hardly remembering her face. Her dad always said that she had her mothers sea blue eyes.

One day Miray was out with her friendly German Shepherd called Mobby, taking a nice walk around the so called ‘beautiful’ (scary!) place. As Miray walked past the crooked castle, she noticed that the gate of the store house beside the castle was different from what it had been yesterday. The door now had a handle made out of gold which replaced the old and boring one. Miray was fond of scary books and loved to solve mysteries with Nancy Drew. She knew that she now had to do the only thing what a detective would do... investigate. Miray ran to the door along with Mobby who was chasing behind her. Miray was about to investigate the door when there was a scary voice which was getting louder every second. She quickly opened the door and hid inside, too afraid to see what was coming.

Miray now took a turn and could not believe what lay in front of her eyes and neither could Mobby. In front of them was all that they had ever, ever dreamt of. Mobby saw the bushes growing dog biscuits and below the gigantic tree, which stood in the middle of the place, had cats to scare away.  And then there were these beautiful girl dogs! Mobby went nuts! Seeing Mobby, Miray chuckled and saw the place for herself. What she saw was beyond imagination! There were water bodies and a big, deep blue lagoon. Over at that place there was everything a

child could imagine! But, that was not all. There was a big building where people of Miray’s age were going in with their pets. This place was no other than the magical school... DCT! “This is what you call a Utopia” Miray said aloud.

“Ringggggggggg!”

When the school bell rang Miray came back to senses and ran home to drag her father to this magical world. At first Mr. Blue was a bit shocked by his sensible child’s boggling words. But then he knew that Miray would never make things up and decided to follow her into the door when he stopped short. Miray followed her father’s gaze and saw that the door had the words ‘Dreams Come True’ in a curved handwriting which she recognized as her mothers from the birth certificate. Miray was shocked but not as much as her father who was tracing the words with his fingers. He would never have moved if Mobby’s bark had not shocked him into his senses.

Next they hurriedly went inside to see what had happened.But when they went inside this time, they saw more than what they had seen the last time. Now the blue lagoon had widened even more and now had an underwater house which could clearly be seen as its chimney came out of the water! They also discovered that they could breathe underwater in that particular lagoon!

The owner of that amazing underwater house had just now seen that her single bed had turned into a big royal one. And the guest room now had a humongous waterbed along with some drawings and pictures stuck on the wall.  And the sitting room now had a big screened television with a big bookshelf beside it. The guest room also had a dog bed. The refrigerator which was empty now was stocked with her favorite foods. She was a bit sad as all of this reminded her a lot of her family who she had got separated from in a war. But she knew that she had to be smiling as all of this meant only one thing... guests were coming.

“Come on! Dad you are so slow!” Miray shouted from end of the pond removing her shoes ready to dive in just when her father yelled back “ Wait! Miray have patience! Cant you see the rod over there. Lets have a look !” “ What a pity! Only if mom had sharp eyes!” Saying this Miray burst into laughter along with her dad who now was now inspecting the rod. Miray ’s dad now peered inside and then suddenly a big submarine popped up! ‘Wow dad , thats awesome!’ Miray sounded shocked in a surprisingly happy manner.

They both jumped in the submarine with Mobby following them. The submarine had 2 seats and a dog bed. It seemed suspicious as if it was made for them. As they jumped in, the submarine automatically started to move, throwing Mr. Blue and Miray back. After a fairly long trip the submarine stopped with a jerk. When Miray raised her head, she saw a large but simple house which she would surely like to live in. She walked up to the house and read the name on the door.

“Oh. My. God.” Miray said utterly surprised. She ran to her father who was busy calming Mobby down and blubbered out, “Dad! Listen, the house over there is haunted I’m sure! It’s got m--” “Miray, my dear. Calm down and please show me this supposedly ‘haunted’ place.” Her dad replied in a soft sort of voice.Then without saying another word, Miray dragged her father to the house and told him to take a look at the door. When Mr.Blue) took a glance towards the door, he stumbled back, “R-Ro-ose!?” he stuttered. “T-this is i-impossible-e!” He opened his mouth to say more but before he could say anymore Mobby jumped up and ringed the door bell. A young and gorgeous looking lady opened the door and stared in shock in Mr.Blue’s eyes. “John...” “Rose...”

“ And so this was the best family reunion ever!”

Miray was sitting in her room telling me her story with the help of Mobby who was able to speak when he was in DCT.

“Wow! So thats how your parents or more like the principles of DCT came together?” I said in a tired voice.

“Yep” she replied.

Then I added with sarcasm,“Oh! I wish my life was as interesting.”

“Shut up! Vi,” she said punching my arm jokingly.

“By the way, when are you going stop calling me by those amazing nicknames that you’ve made and start calling me Violet???” I asked meekly adding extra sarcasm.

“Never Purple” I replied with a giggle.

“ARRRGGGHHH!!”

Hi. I Ana (Claws) always wanted to be a writer. The youngest writer. I should tell you something that I should have told you before, I am only 10. Both went on a quest to prevent a war, and were accompanied by a satyr and a child of Hades (Thalia - Went with Grover and Bianca to rescue Artemis before chaos erupted among the gods, Reyna - Went with Hedge and Nico to return the Athena Parthenos to the Greeks, hoping to prevent a war with the Romans)
